Written by - Sana Jain &  Harleen Bhatia.   WHAT IS AN ALLY? An ally is a heterosexual and cisgender person who supports equal rights,lgbtqia+ social movements. They aim to challenge  transphobia, homophobia.  The best definition of  'ally' comes from author Roxane Gay in her article for marie claire, I am paraphrasing here but it was something along the lines that being that an ally doesn't mean you fully understand their struggles and oppression. You take their struggle as your own..       Allies are important because they have the power, the visibility and the voice to help shine a light on injustice and help to raise awareness, start conversations, and create change.    When you become an ally of transgender people, your actions will help change the culture, making society a better, safer place for transgender people.  TIPS TO BE A GOOD ALLY. • Be supportive and a good listener.  •Ask them the pronouns they prefer....

I just don’t understand how a girl can even be attracted to a guy. maybe its just that you’re spending too much time with boys that's why?! Trust me ,you should go see a doctor They’ll make you fall in love again but with the same gender. What about the society and the people? Will they ever accept the idea of a boy being with a girl? How shameless could you be to not even think about you’re parents? Did you not think for a second how they would feel if they find out about this nuisance. God has made you to like the same sex,we’re just made this way! Will you disrespect our own god’s pathway? When will you people understand men are supposed to be with men . And women with women.

It 's been raining heavily in Assam, Northeast part of India for the past few days. 28 Districts, 3014 villages, nearly 24.50 lakh people are affected with a death toll of 86. Over 100 animals are dead in Kaziranga National park, including 9 one horn rhinos. This year's floods have so far affected over 55 lakh people of the state. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 2,325 villages under 73 revenue circles are still underwater and the floodwaters have submerged 1.09 lakh hectares of croplands. The floodwaters have so far damaged 204 embankments, 168 bridges, culverts and 1637 roads in the state. As many as 48,478 people are currently taking shelter at 280 relief camps.
